This year LED Christmas Lights are going to be a must have item for all your Christmas displays. LED's have taken the Christmas Industry by storm providing energy efficient, durability and long lasting lamps throughout the entire holiday season. Since LED's are relatively new we here at Chicago Christmas Lights answer many questions about our LED products. Here is brief description of how LED's work and why they are incredibly energy efficient. LED lights use Light Emitting Diodes rather than the traditional mini incandescent bulbs. LED's do not use filaments to light up. Instead they are illuminated by electrons in a semi conductor material. This enables LED to last longer with very little wasted energy.

Here at Chicago Christmas Lights we are always striving to add new products that are both innovative and built for quality. This year we expanded our current line of LED lights. LED's are steadily starting to replace Incandescent lamps in both commercial and residential applications. This year we added the Crystal Tip LED lights. These warm white LED lights have a pointed tip much like traditional light sets.

Last year our LED medium (C7) and large (C9) bulbs were the hit of the season. These bulbs are made of durable plastic which will not chip or break giving our customers bragging rights to a beautiful display all season long.

The following formula can be used to figure out the Operating Cost of Christmas Lighting:

Total Watts x Hours of Use = Kilowatt hours x 0.125 (Nat'l Avg. per Kw/h) = Operating Cost 1000.
